I'm a husband and I'm going to be a father!

I just found out last week that my wife, Katharine Tapley, is pregnant. I suppose I should say that we are pregnant, even though she's doing all the hard work with this. I'm really excited and a little scared - but I'm so happy and I can't wait for us to be parents. We've been married for almost four years, and have had quite a life together already. I'm blessed to be on the next leg of my journey with her, and it's wonderful to have our family growing and as something to look forward to.

Professionally, I run a small web development agency in Worcester, MA, called 3000K. We build, maintain, and host sites for small and medium-sized businesses and non-profits. It's a lot of work but very challenging and worthwhile - especially being able to help organizations like the American Red Cross. You can find out more by visiting the company site.

I really hope to make a lasting difference through my work with the company and our outreach activities. We spend a ton of time at work - for most people these are our best hours of each day, during the prime of our life. Being "the boss" gives me the power to try and make this time more meaningful. It's not easy, but I'm keeping at it.

And now I have being a father as one more way to make an impact. :)
